Kidney cancer occurs when malignant cells grow and divide rapidly in the kidneys to form a tumour. The kidneys are bean-shaped organs located in the lower abdomen on each side of your spine. These fist-sized organs are responsible for filtering and cleaning blood, taking out waste products and making urine.
